Scientific communities in the North West are set to benefit from a new initiative — called
Brilliant Science — that aims to make the most of the region’s strong scientific heritage and links to establish it as a hub for international events.
The initiative, which has been created by Marketing Cheshire, will benefit a number of scientific fields, including medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, zoology, physics, engineering and industry.
It will receive funding from the Government’s £40 million Discover England Fund, which is involves a programme of activities to ensure that the country remains competitive in the global tourism industry.
It is supported by match-funding from partners in the public and private sectors.
