At the end of last month, Proserv (www.proserv.com) — an international company providing products, services and bespoke solutions to clients in the energy industry through 22 operating centres in 12 countries — officially opened a new purpose-built Centre of Excellence within Great Yarmouth’s Beacon Park.

The developer, Great Yarmouth Borough Council — together with New Anglia LEP and key stakeholders — joined Proserv to mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

At 65,000ft², Artemis House is the largest facility within Beacon Park; it features modern offices, and gives Proserv 25% additional manufacturing space, as well as a yard area.

"There is also room to add a further 20,000ft of workshop capacity in the future. Company COO Davis Larssen said: “This opening is a new chapter for us as we consolidate more than 180 employees from our previous two sites in the area. It is fantastic to see our workforce unite.”

In a joint statement, councillors Graham Plant and Trevor Wainwright, said: “This landmark headquarters is a symbol of Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s partnership work as an authority dedicated to supporting local investment, jobs and growth, as well as bolstering Beacon Park’s national reputation as an established energy hub and top-performing Enterprise Zone.

Artemis House will ensure that skilled jobs, mostly held by local people, will continue to be based within the borough, while generating rental income which will be used to help support vital public services.”

Beacon Park is part of the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft (New Anglia) Enterprise Zone, which focuses on attracting and supporting energy-related businesses within the East of England.
