Bombardier has landed a deal for up to 60 of its CS300 aircraft — worth up to £4.5 billion.
The aerospace giant (
www.bombardier.com), which employs around 4,000 people in Northern Ireland, has secured a firm order from AirBaltic for 30 of its CS300 passenger jets, with an option for another 30.
The firm’s Belfast factory makes the wings and part of the fuselage for C Series planes. Bombardier has also unveiled two new luxury business jets — the Global 5500 and Global 6500 — which will also be part-made in Belfast.
The company already makes the forward fuselage, engine nacelles and other components for the Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft.
