Visitors to the opening event at XYZ Machine Tools’ new showroom in Slough on 12 July (www.xyzmachinetools.com) will have the opportunity to win the use of either a ProtoTrak SMX 2000 turret mill, an SMX 2500 bed mill or a ProTurn SLX 1630 lathe for six months (alternate machines may be available).

Every company represented at the Open House will be entered in the prize draw, the machine will be delivered and commissioned, and the successful company will receive the usual allocation of training to maximise the benefit of the prize.

It will then have full use of the machine for six months — the equivalent of 1,000hr of free CNC production. At the end of the loan period, the machine can be collected, or an order can be placed to keep it.

While there can only be one winner of the prize draw, XYZ’s managing director, Nigel Atherton, says that there will still be other winners on the day.

“As this is a brand-new showroom, we won’t be offering clearance deals on the machines in Slough, but there will be a list available of all the clearance machines at our other showrooms at Burlescombe, Nuneaton, Blackburn and Sheffield. Visitors to the Slough event will have first refusal on these, with preferential prices for our guests on the day.”
