D&S Engineering (Coventry) Ltd has relocated from its 4,200ft
2 premises on the Bayton Road Industrial Estate in Exhall to an 11,000ft
2 unit on the same business park.
It has also invested £190,000 in two ‘state of the art’ machines and appointed Darin Tudor to oversee business development.
The family-owned business, which employs 12 people, manufactures precision parts for the aircraft and defence industry.
Managing director Richard Maconnachie (
www.dseng.co.uk) said: “We have 45 years of experience in precision engineering.
By more than doubling the size of our premises, we are looking to expand into making products for airframe manufacturers, where the quantities are much higher. We are also looking to diversify into civil usage, having bought our sixth Swiss-designed five-axis CNC machine and another co-ordinate measuring machine, which gives us extra capacity to manufacture larger products.
“We have the expertise and quality management processes in place, and we have the opportunity to expand this facility by a further 10,000ft
2, which we will need if we gain further work.”
