Carclo Technical Plastics (CTP), a contract manufacturer of precision injection-moulded plastic components and assembled devices for the medical industry, has expanded its services in the UK with a new facility in Surrey dedicated to the manufacture of the BD Vystra disposable pen, which is used for the delivery of liquid pharmaceuticals.

The company (www.carclo-ctp.co.uk) has invested significantly in new manufacturing space, injection moulding machines, ancillary equipment and specialist staff in Mitcham to support this and other projects.

It has also recently expanded its operations in the USA, Czech Republic, China and India, as it continues its strategy of increasing its contract manufacturing business globally.

Robert Stutzman, divisional CEO, said: “Carclo Technical Plastics has aggressive plans to continue developing our medical business, supported by the Carclo group’s engineering skills, global footprint and financial stability.”

The new facility was officially opened by councillor Stephen Alambirtas and deputy mayor Judy Saunders from the London Borough of Merton.
