Agricultural sprayer manufacturer Househam has completed work on a six-figure factory expansion in Lincolnshire.

This has increased the company’s footprint by 30% and its production capacity by 50%, with double the number of construction bays for its ‘state of the art’ self-propelled sprayers.

The expansion comes after a successful 12 months that saw Househam grow its exports by 25%.

Managing director Robert Willey (www.househamsprayers.co.uk) said: “This factory completes the first stage of our investment in our future.

“We design and build all our machinery on site, so the improved facilities will boost our service to farmers — providing the advanced technology they need to meet today’s agricultural demands.

“We’re a British business, and Brexit will create opportunities for us, both here and abroad. We need to be well placed to take advantage of this, as new markets open up to us.”

With the factory expansion complete, the company is now set to enter its second phase of development, as construction begins on the Househam Academy — a training space for customers, staff and local young people interested in the industry.

The academy is due to be completed by the end of the year.
