ITC appoints new applications engineerTamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC) (www.itc-ltd.co.uk) has achieved year-on-year sales increases exceeding 15% over the last five years.

Strong growth in the North of England has seen the company employ Gary Murrey as an applications engineer to support the sales efforts of Northern area technical sales engineers Jason Clark and Gary Heaney.

Based in the Wigan area, Mr Murrey has almost 30 years of manufacturing experience.

He has been an apprentice machinist at shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft, a five-axis machinist and programmer with GE Aviation, a production and applications engineer with the 600 Group, and a senior manufacturing engineer at VTL.

He has also spent almost five years as a technical sales engineer for cutting-tool manufacturers and distributors in the North West.

ITC’s managing director, Peter Graves, says: “ITC has grown beyond recognition in the last five years, with sales of our UK-manufactured cutting-tool solutions growing exponentially.

“Added to this, we are working ever closer with partners Widia and BIG Kaiser to introduce more innovations and to supply a ‘complete cutting-tool solution’.

“Our ability to deliver ever more extensive high-value technical solutions has resulted in increased sales, which in turn necessitates increased levels of customer support.”
