CAD/CAM and software solutions developer Open Mind Technologies AG has recently joined the Partners in THINC
collaboration (founded by Okuma).
Alan Levine, managing director of Open Mind Technologies USA Inc, said: “We are looking forward to collaborating with Okuma and the members of Partners in THINC to bring the most-advanced integrated solutions to manufacturers.”
Okuma and Open Mind are collaborating on four- and five-axis projects for various Okuma machines — including
machining centres, multi-function mill-turn machines and hybrid technology — the aim being to achieve significant
improvements in precision, reliability and quality.
