First ANA A380 rolls out of assembly in ToulouseThe first A380 for All Nippon Airways (ANA) has rolled out of final assembly in Toulouse.

The aircraft has been moved to an outside station for various ground tests in preparation for its first flight; it will then go to the Airbus facilities in Hamburg to be fitted out and painted.

ANA (www.ana.co.jp) placed a firm order for three A380s in 2016, becoming the first Japanese customer for the superjumbo.

The first delivery is scheduled for early next year, and the aircraft will initially operate on the popular Tokyo-Honolulu route.

Offering more personal space than any other commercial aircraft, the A380 is said to be the most efficient solution to meeting growth on the world’s most heavily used routes, carrying more passengers with fewer flights at lower
cost and with lower emissions.

To date, Airbus has delivered 229 A380s, and the aircraft is now in services with 14 airlines world-wide.
