Oldham-based GM Machinery Ltd (www.gmmachinery.com) has applied for planning permission to erect a 13,800ft² steel portal-frame building next door to its existing warehouse.

It will be equipped with a new 20-tonne SWL double-girder overhead crane and give the company more showroom space to display CNC machining centres, lathes and bed mills.
