Trotec Laser Ltd (www.troteclaser.com) has officially opened its recently refurbished 22,000ft² facility in South Tyneside.

This supports the laser technology manufacturer’s rapid growth in the UK and Ireland, giving it an increased warehouse capacity and office accommodation.

The occasion was marked with the planting of a tree by Norbert Schrüfer (CEO of the Trodat Trotec Group), Simon Moore (managing director of Trotec Laser GmbH) and Martin Horne (managing director of Trotec Laser Ltd).

Mr Horne said: “We are very proud of our new UK headquarters. Not only does the facility have a larger warehouse and extra office space, but it is also home to our flagship ‘state of the art’ laser showroom.

“This will allow us to fully implement our plans for growth, supporting our best-in-class products and services to meet the evolving demands of our customers.

“This investment by the Trodat-Trotec Group is testament to the success of its UK subsidiary.”

Established in 1997, Austria-based Trotec has become a market leader in the manufacture and supply of laser cutting, marking and engraving technology and materials; it has customers in more than 90 countries and over 500 employees world-wide.

The UK subsidiary was founded in 2007.
