Coventry-based Fanuc UK Ltd (
www.fanuc.eu/uk/en) has added a slim-line version — M10iD/10L — to its M-10 range of compact general-purpose robots.
Designed for use in small, narrow work-spaces and top-mount applications, this latest model features a long arm (with a reach of 1,636mm), a maximum payload of 10kg and a footprint of just 343 x 343mm.
As with other models in the M-10 series, the M10iD/10L has a hollow arm, wrist and body, which allows the easy routing of internal cables.
Moreover, its slim curved arm helps to minimise any interference with peripheral devices and work-cell equipment.
Fanuc says that this six-axis robot has one of the highest axis speeds in its class — 720deg/sec — and a repeatability of ±0.03mm.
The M10iD/10L also supports ‘intelligent maintenance schedules’ via Fanuc’s condition-monitoring software, which can predict the status of mechanical and process equipment.
Andrew Armstrong, Fanuc UK’s sales and marketing manager, said: “With more and more companies across the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sectors exploring industrial automation, we feel that the latest addition to our general-purpose robot portfolio is an ideal solution for machine tool or jig users looking to automate workpiece loading and unloading.”
