Integral Powertrain’s (
www.integralp.com) emissions and driveline test facility in Milton Keynes is to embark on a two-phase upgrade.
Scheduled to be completed by the spring 2019, this will extend the company’s capabilities for the delivery ofcomplete real driving emissions (RDE) testing services through dyno-based road simulations and comprehensive vehicle emissions testing.
Central to the upgrade will be the purchase of a Horiba Vulcan dynamometer that meets world-wide testing standards
and is suitable for a wide range of vehicle types, including passenger cars and hybrid cars.
Simon Mead, Integral Powertrain’s development manager, said: “This upgrade will put us at the forefront of RDE testing and allow us to offer a wider range of services to our existing and new customers, with ‘state of the art’ equipment, improved processes, and a dedicated customer on-line portal.”
The upgraded test centre forms a key part of Integral Powertrain’s multi-million-pound investment in its Milton Keynes facilities. Earlier this year, the company announced its investment in a three-acre site at Shenley Wood for a new technical centre to support its e-Drive growth ambitions.
