The Vigilance Group — the engineering specialist holding company that incorporates Machine Tool Sales Online (MTSO), MACH Machine Tools and Vigilance Engineering Safety Products (www.vigilance-esp.com) — has announced expansion plans that group managing director Dave Andrew says will ensure its “long-term growth and future prosperity, by providing customers with more choice and improved access to our technologies and solutions”.

The first expansion affects the group’s Bristol facility (in Fishponds).

Mr Andrew said: “The Bristol site is home to our MTSO (www.machinetoolsalesonline.com) and MACH Machine Tools (www.machmt.co.uk) business operations.

However, customer demand for our high-quality used and new machine tools has been such that we needed to increase the floor space available for both businesses.

"Fortunately, premises adjacent to our existing Bristol facility recently became available, allowing us to virtually double our existing floor space to 21,000ft² and create a larger showroom for MACH Machine Tools — with more new and used machine tools held in stock at any given time.”

To help give customers and prospects based in the Midlands and the North improved access to MACH Machine Tools’ and MTSO’s machines, services and solutions, the Vigilance Group recently acquired the premises previously leased by DRMT Solutions Ltd in Leicester, which closed following the retirement of one of its directors.

Following refurbishment and modernisation, the 5,000ft² facility will be ‘shared’ by MACH Machine Tools and MTSO.

In addition to taking on the premises in Leicester, the Vigilance Group has also taken on additional sales and service staff, some of whom were previously employed by DRMT Solutions.
