Walsall-based Majorfax Ltd (
www.majorfax.co.uk) — a supplier of all types of ferrous and non-ferrous castings — is experiencing strong demand from the architectural sector, with inquiries up 45% this year.
The company has been working on a number of architectural projects — mainly in London but also elsewhere in the UK.
In 2017, it made exact replicas of 200-year-old gate-post finials for a Redditch-based construction company; these can be seen at the main entrance to the Help for Heroes war veterans retreat in Malvern.
In 2016, Majorfax cast balustrades for Talina Builders, as part of a restoration project for a London building. These balustrades exactly matched the original design of the staircase.
Ranvir Gill, Majorfax’s sales and marketing co-ordinator, said: “The UK architectural sector has become a major market for us — one that we are proud to supply and be a part of.”
The company can supply chandeliers, balustrades, ornaments, statues or any other architectural castings for an office, hotel or any other type of building. It uses a range of casting processes, depending on the technical specifications and design requirements.
