Among the many highlights of the ‘Redditch Revealed’ Open House held last month by T W Ward CNC Machinery (Ward CNC) at its Midlands & South showroom was the sale of a Hyundai-Wia LV800RM vertical turning lathe (VTL) to Shrewsbury-based Sentinel Manufacturing Ltd.

This was among a wide range of high-quality cost-effective machines on show at the two-day event — along with a host of complementary manufacturing solutions from Ward CNC’s technology partners — where a continual stream of production engineering decision-makers was able to see the machines under power and discuss technical issues with Ward CNC’s applications engineers.

Sentinel’s managing director, Paul James, said that the new VTL will add much-needed capacity to fulfil a new contract from a leading international pump manufacturer, and that two key factors in the purchase were the machine’s ready availability from stock and the attractive finance option offered by Ward CNC (www.wardcnc.com).

Reflecting on the success of the event, Stephen Bodsworth, Ward CNC’s executive director, explained how the Redditch showroom is regarded as a cornerstone of the company’s new five-year strategy, in which “growth, transformation and talent management will continue to enhance the tremendous success of Ward CNC and its customer base”.
