Hiab (part of Cargotec) (
www.hiab.com) has completed the acquisition of Effer SpA from CTE Group. For Hiab — a global leader in on-road load-handling solutions — this acquisition means a significant advance in its ambition to be a leader in the cranes market.
Effer, which has its headquarters in Minerbio (Italy) and about 400 employees, is a renowned manufacturer of premium knuckle-boom cranes, with a product range that includes truck loader cranes, special-application truck cranes and marine cranes.
Effer will continue to operate under its recognised brand and identity, and through its established dealer and distribution partner network; it will be part of Hiab’s global cranes organisation, with Lorenzo Cipriani continuing as managing director of Effer, reporting to Joakim Andersson, Hiab’s senior vice-president (cranes).
Mr Andersson said: “With Effer becoming part of Hiab, two organisations with strong cultures and committed employees come together. We will nurture our unique strengths and combined talents to unlock our growth potential.”
