Bradford on Avon-based AB Dynamics, a supplier of advanced testing systems to the automotive industry world-wide, has
submitted a planning application to Wiltshire Council for a new £5 million purpose-built manufacturing centre that would sit opposite its recently opened £9 million head office.
The company says that — together with the existing building — the 33,000ft
2 development will establish a high-calibre business hub close to Bradford on Avon’s town centre.
James Routh, AB Dynamics CEO (
www.abdynamics.com), said: “This new building will help to facilitate our future growth. so that we can continue to successfully compete in a global market. It will also create many skilled jobs to boost the local economy.”
He added that close interaction between design engineers and production staff is vital to the business, and the current spread of offices across five sites in Wiltshire can lead to inefficiencies.
Anthony Best founded AB Dynamics in 1982 to provide noise, vibration and suspension engineering services to the automotive industry.
Over the past 36 years, the company has grown to become one of the most trusted suppliers of automotive test systems world-wide; it counts 25 of the world’s most successful car manufacturers among its customers.
