Grimsby-based Blackrow Group (
www.blackrow.co.uk), a provider of engineering and fabrication services world-wide, has successfully negotiated new banking facilities from Barclays to support its expansion plans.
Established in 1980, the business has an extensive product range, including conveyor systems, gantries and platforms, control and automation systems, and pipework. The new funding from Barclays will help it to improve its site and take on new contracts.
Group finance director Neil Ellis said: “We have recently won some major new contracts, and we’re working flat out to maintain our existing orders.
“We are expanding our working areas and installing new kit and equipment that will enable a speedier turnround of orders. We’re also hoping to expand our workforce.”
Blackrow Group currently employs 180 people locally, and its turnover is expected to exceed £20 million this year, increasing to over £23 million over the next two years.
Kevin Peart, Barclays relationship director, said: “It’s been great to welcome Neil and the team to Barclays and to be able to work with them so quickly on their growth plans.
“The future looks bright for this well managed and ambitious business.”
