Cheltenham-based Versarien plc (www.versarien.com) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jinan High-tech Financial Investment Co Ltd for a joint-venture manufacturing centre in the Jinan Innovation Zone in China.

This will make Versarien’s Nanene, Graph-inks and other graphene products, and other parties could be added to the joint venture at a later stage.

Versarien CEO Neill Ricketts said: “We are very pleased to be making progress in establishing a graphene manufacturing base for Versarien in Jinan, and I am very grateful for the support we are continuing to receive from Chinese governmental and industrial parties.”
