New £500,000 manufacturing facility Bolton-based Heatrod Elements, a specialist heating company, has completed a £500,000 move to a new manufacturing facility at Top Deck Industrial Estate.

The move to the new premises will play an integral part in the company’s plans to develop a wider range of industrial products and solutions, while continuing to serve its traditional domestic market.

Heatrod (www.heatrodshop.com) is a member of the Backer Group and part of the global NIBE Element Group (a market leader in the design and manufacture of components for intelligent heating and control).

Managing director Simon Ellam said: “When I joined the company in 2013, I sat down with the team at the head office
in Sweden, and we set out a very specific strategy to target the industrial market and grow this side of the business.

"We have already made huge strides in this direction, but our new premises give us a fantastic base from where we can develop even further.”

Heatrod’s capabilities in the industrial process heating sector have been bolstered over the past two years by the acquisitions of Ormandy Electric and Braude.

Its core capabilities remain within electric heating and resistance products; it can provide application-specific engineering locally and from the wider group business.
