Hamburg-based Nordex Group (
www.nordex-online.com) is setting up a production facility in Mexico to make wind-turbine blades for local and global markets.
Production of the blades for the large turbines of both the AW and the Delta4000 platforms is scheduled to start this spring.
Nordex CEO José Luis Blanco said: “We are responding to the sharp rise in global demand for our products. In addition to the existing blade production facilities in different regions, we can now also manufacture our blades in the vicinity of the North and Latin American growth markets. This significantly increases our competitiveness.”
The production hall is currently being equipped with modern production moulds.
