On 9 May, Schunk (
www.schunk.com) will be hosting a ‘customer innovation day’ in collaboration with cutting-tool manufacturer Walter (
www.wlater-tools.com) at the Knowledge Transfer Centre (KTC) in Sheffield.
This event provides an opportunity for manufacturers specialising in the aerospace sector to witness best-practice five-axis work-holding and machining via both presentations and practical shopfloor demonstrations.
Part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), the KTC is a world-leading establishment for high-value manufacturing events.
This particular event will begin at 10am (doors open at 09.30) and will feature presentations from both Schunk and Walter; Schunk’s will include details of its latest VERO-S Aviation modular clamping system for aerospace structural components.
After the presentations and lunch, delegates will transfer to the Factory of the Future machine shop, where the Schunk VERO-S Aviation will be clamping aerospace components and demonstrating its potential in conjunction with AMRC machine tools and Walter cutting tools.
