Yorkshire-based Croda International plc — the name behind high-performance ingredients and technologies that are used by industries and consumers world-wide, has acquired Germany-based Rewitec GmbH, which specialises in improving the efficiency and longevity of wind turbines and moving machinery through its patented surface treatment additives.

The latter will join the Energy Technologies sector of Croda’s Performance Technologies business.

With all staff joining the Croda Group, the combined technical expertise within the two businesses will deliver an enhanced portfolio of products to customers.

This will give Rewitec the support it needs to grow its sales and expand into applications focusing on lower carbon emissions and sustainable power.
