The multi-discipline engineering firm ADI Group (
www.adiltd.co.uk) has strengthened its credentials in the automotive market after a sub-division reached £100 million in orders in just eight years of trading.
This milestone was achieved by Birmingham-based ADI Automotive Services, which is the fastest-growing division in the group’s 30-year history.
It achieved a growth of 188% between its first and second year of trading, and it has since gone on to secure permanent contracts at five major automotive sites around the country, including BMW’s Mini plant in Oxford.
ADI Automotive’s managing director, Ritchie Webb, said: “When the division was launched, it was structured with the intention of serving some of the biggest brands in the sector.
“Not only can we look back and say that we hit that objective, but also that these brands will be integral to our future development. We are especially proud to have hit £100 million in orders.
"Having experienced such rapid growth in such a short period of time, we are hugely excited by our potential, as we help to meet the needs of automotive firms up and down the country.
“There is still fantastic potential in British manufacturing.
“Many think that with Brexit and the current economy, it has gone abroad, but with home-grown brands like Jaguar Land Rover committing to electric models right here in the UK, that’s a false belief.
"We are dedicated to helping support the development of electric-vehicle growth.”
ADI Automotive’s offering is diverse; it includes steel-work fabrications, lean manufacturing, data networks and electrical installations.
The ADI Group typically completes more than 5,000 projects every year, with over 30 specialist engineering divisions serving client sites in the UK and Ireland.
