Manufacturer to expand and create 16 new jobs Armagh-bashed AW Control Systems Ltd — a specialist in the design and manufacture of automated control systems — is creating 16 new jobs and building an additional production facility to underpin its growth plans.

The company is investing £520,000 in a new building that more than doubles its production space.

Along with the new staff, this will help the company to increase production levels to meet the growing demand for its products and target new markets.

Andrew Willis, managing director (www.awcontrolsystems.com), said: “Demand for our products is increasing.

This investment ensures that we are adequately resourced with additional space, manpower and equipment to meet our customers’ needs and further expand our customer base.

"At Invest NI’s Leader Programme last year, we had the benefit of working with experienced business mentors to develop a strategic growth plan for our business, which we are now putting into action.

"We currently have contracts in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, the USA, Australia and Asia, and we are aiming to further expand our customer base.”

Bill Montgomery, Invest NI’s director of advanced manufacturing and engineering, said: “This expansion is an exciting milestone for AW Control Systems, enabling the business to fulfil its growth potential.

"It is encouraging to see the company re-invest in the Armagh area and create valuable employment opportunities.”
