A new master-plan for a 62-acre site at Ashwood Business Park in Northumberland was unveiled at
Advanced Engineering 2019, which was held at the NEC in Birmingham at the end of last month.
The next phase in the site’s development — spearheaded by Advance Northumberland (
www.advancenorthumberland.co.uk) on behalf of Northumberland County Council — is set to make the park a centre for advanced manufacturing, process and engineering companies, and a catalyst for further industrial growth in the region.
Ashwood Business Park has Enterprise Zone status, which means that organisations locating there can benefit from 10% Enhanced Capital Allowances.
Plots from 50,000ft
2 to 500,000ft
2 are available, and the tenure options range from a freehold sale to a short-term lease.
The park is already home to a major AzkoNobel paint-processing facility — costing more than £100 million and opened in 2017.
Advance Northumberland chairman Richard Wearmouth said: “We were delighted to launch the new master-plan for Ashwood Business Park at Advanced Engineering.
"The park offers a fantastic opportunity for businesses working in manufacturing, engineering and the process sector to take advantage of a superb location with excellent transport links.”
