The Tewkesbury-based cutting-tool manufacturer Quickgrind Ltd (
www.quickgrind.com) has launched its new Alligator Duo series of two-flute end mills with standard and aluminium geometries to suit a diverse range of applications.
It is also offering these cutters in a range of lengths and diameters.
These include: a long-reach and short-flute version; a long-reach and long-flute version; and a stub-length version for optimal rigidity.
The Alligator Duo is available with several geometry options to cater for applications ranging from roughing and semi-finishing to finish machining.
Quickgrind can also provide the new Alligator Duo series with a square-end or ball-nose configuration to cater for profile machining applications; the company also offers a ‘zero-dished’ option for achieving fine finish when machining flat surfaces.
Quickgrind says it can deliver productivity gains by optimising metal removal rates and tool life by understanding customers’ goals and then applying its proven processes and expertise to match their application requirements with the optimum tooling technology, thereby improving machining performance from both a productivity and cost perspective.
