Banbury-based LVD (UK) Ltd, a leading manufacturer of sheet metal/plate-working equipment, is holding a free Smart Factory Live event at its Oxfordshire XP Centre on 25 and 26 March (from 9am to 3pm), where the company will showcase its Industry 4.0-ready laser cutting, bending, punching and integration technology and solutions.

Demonstrated live will be a range of fabrication equipment, including a Lynx FL-3015 4kW fibre laser cutting machine, a PPED general-purpose press brake, a Dyna-Press high-speed electric press brake and a Strippit P punch press.

As the trend towards digitalisation and smart manufacturing continues, LVD will highlight its complete suite of CADMAN software products, integrated with the laser cutting and bending machinery on display, to simulate a ‘smart
factory’.

The equipment will be networked to CADMAN-Job, LVD Touch controllers and a Touch-i4 tablet to showcase optimised production through an integrated process flow.

In addition to machinery demonstrations that will take guests through the ‘art to part’ process, the event will provide an opportunity to meet support staff and product/applications specialists.
