Lending a helping hand!

Lending a helping hand!Bristol-based Machine Tool Sales Online, part of the Vigilance Group, is offering to lend any UK company involved in the manufacture of Covid-19 related emergency medical equipment, quality used CNC or manual machine tools and/or engineering equipment (should they need it) - to help them increase their machining and production capacity and capabilities.

Vigilance Group CEO Dave Andrew said: “We have over £1 million of high-quality used machines in stock and these machines can provide a real life line (quite literally) to those companies who either need to ramp up their production and distribution of NHS ventilators and associated equipment or who have transformed their existing production operations to manufacture much-needed medical equipment.”

On 16 March, the UK Government launched a nation-wide appeal asking any businesses to make contact if they could help in the manufacture and supply of ventilators and/or ventilator components (www.machinetoolsalesonline.com).

Mr Andrew continued: “Some companies will almost certainly have the knowledge and expertise to help but may not have the requisite in-house production capability immediately to hand — we can help them bridge the gap.

“We will lend our machine tools and/or equipment to those companies that have already answered the call, and to those who are considering becoming involved.

“All we ask is that the machines that are loaned are looked after and are maintained and, after we have come out the other side of the pandemic, are returned back to us.

“Clearly there are some terms and conditions that apply — but these have been kept to a minimum.”

Companies that want to find out more about MTSO’s offer, and the range of used CNC and manual machines available should, in the first instance, call 0117 965 2706.

Mr Andrew concluded: “These are unprecedented times and we are all in this together.”
