Registration open for TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid showThe Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS 2021), currently set to feature approximately 6,000 exhibitors and set to take place from 15 to 20 March 2021 in Taiwan, is to be held simultaneously with TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid — a virtual offering — to form a pioneering physical and online trade show.

Registration for TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid opened earlier this month, and to make visitors fully aware of two features (human interaction and customised experiences), the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the organiser of the event, has conducted a number of public briefings in Taiwan and released the introductory video below.

As a prominent trade platform, TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid will allow global buyers to watch and place orders. Nearly 1,000 industry players will get together online and achieve a “zero time and distance” interaction between exhibitors and buyers.

In the run-up to the show, the TIMTOS Salon and TIMTOS Glimpse series, launched in August 2020, have featured five key representatives from machine tool associations in the USA, Turkey, Russia, India and Thailand, as well as Taiwan manufacturers including HIWIN, Lien Chieh, Buffalo Machinery, Accutex, Chin Fong, She Hong, Keyarrow and Ying Han, to share their first-hand market insights. This webinar campaign has attracted more than 400,000 views so far and other online events are planned.

In addition, TAITRA plans to hold an online livestream on 20 January 2021 with high-profile industry leaders of well-known manufacturers discussing the "new deployment of the smart machinery industry in the post-epidemic era", as a warm-up for TIMTOS Hybrid.
