GM CNC Ltd, the UK’s exclusive dealer for Victor machine tools, has appointed Joe Bricknell as the new sales representative to bolster the sales operation supporting the popular brand.
Joining the company just before the turn of the year, Mr Bricknell is now responsible for growing sales of the Victor brand that are well established in the UK and renowned for their reliability, stability, rigidity and build quality.
He started his career as a mechanical engineering apprentice, before gaining experienece in a production role on various types of CNC machine tools from some of the world’s most recognised names. Taking the next step in his career, Mr Bricknell then joined a Midlands based machine tool company as a regional sales engineer.
Earning his spurs by selling a diverse range of machine tools and brands, he has now taken the opportunity to join GM CNC and sell the Victor CNC brand. He said: “I am thrilled to be joining GM CNC Ltd at this time — a family-run business with an exceptional reputation for customer service.
“To support the UK manufacturing industry for more than 30 years with thousands of machine tool sales and installations, and to be held in such high regard by customers is testament to the family ethos of the business.”
“From a machine tool perspective, the opportunity to drive the Victor sales operation is brilliant, considering I was already so familiar with the brand, having visited so many engineering companies in my previous role that were genuinely happy with their Victor machines.
“The Victor range is extensive with everything from small footprint CNC lathes and long bed multi-tasking turning centres through to vertical turning centres, vertical and horizontal machining centres, multi-tasking machines, five-axis machines and more. There is quite literally a machine to suit every type of manufacturer.”
GM CNC sales and marketing director Nicola Howard said: “Sales of the Victor brand are growing rapidly as more manufacturers become aware of the astounding build quality, capabilities, performance and longevity of the machines.
“To underpin our ambitions for growing the UK footprint of these machines, we are increasing our stock and demonstration machines, are investing in a new showroom and an on-line Victor spares shop.
“This gives hundreds of existing Victor customers access to a portal that will provide everything they need to keep their spindles running. This new website will be fully supported by our team of service engineers and the arrival of Joe. He joins our company at an exciting time and we wish him the very best in his journey as part of the GM CNC family.”
