Tharsus selected for ‘Future Fifty’ programmeTharsus, which is based in Blyth, Northumberland, and a ‘leading advanced machines and robotics firm’, has been selected by Tech Nation to join the ‘Future Fifty’ programme — Europe’s ‘leading late-stage growth programme’ designed to ‘bring together, empower and accelerate the growth of the most successful tech companies in the UK’.

Tharsus is the sole robotics firm — and the only North East-based business — in the latest intake at a time when organic growth has seen the business develop ‘into one of the UK’s most highly respected tech companies.’

One of the UK’s ‘largest manufacturers of commercial robots’, it has delivered ‘robust and progressive automation solutions’ for businesses around the world, including DHL, Ocado, BMW and Small Robot Co.

Brian Palmer, Tharsus’s CEO, said: “We are excited to be part of Tech Nation’s Future Fifty cohort and look forward to joining a network of the UK’s most forward-thinking businesses.

“Our growth is testament to an approach to designing and building strategic machines that has helped our partners transform business performance, create new opportunities and disrupt industries.

“We are incredibly proud to be representing the many innovative companies based in the North-East, whose collective work has firmly placed the region on the map.”
