Vestas has received a 126MW order from Taaleri Energia for the Isoneva project in Finland, adding to the more than 1.8GW in firm orders already received in Finland for the EnVentus platform.

The order, which includes the supply and installation of 21 V162-6.0MW turbines from Vestas’s EnVentus platform, follows the 126MW order received from Taaleri Energia for the Murtotuuli project in the second quarter of 2021. Vestas will also provide service for the Isoneva project through a long-term Active Output Management 5000 service agreement.

The Isoneva project, which will be situated in Siikajoki municipality in the North Ostrobothnia region, will receive turbines in the first quarter of 2022 and be fully commissioned by the end of 2022.

Meanwhile, In partnership with Global Power Generation, a subsidiary of the multinational power company Naturgy Group, Vestas has secured a 58MW deal for Crookwell 3 Wind Farm in New South Wales, Australia. The project will feature 16 V126-3.45MW wind turbines in 3.6MW operating mode, which Vestas will supply and install.

Vestas will also provide a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 service agreement that will optimise energy production while also providing ‘long-term business case certainty’.

Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022, with commissioning to commence in the fourth quarter of 2022. Crookwell 3 Wind Farm is set to power about 40,000 homes and create around 95 jobs during its construction.

This project is located in the proximity of Crookwell 1, which was the first wind farm to be established in New South Wales when commissioned in 1998. The 5MW project is still operating and features eight of Vestas’s V44-600kW wind turbines.
