Building on the success of its open house series in 2019, Liverpool-based CNC Robotics Ltd will kickstart the summer season by throwing open the doors of its brand new facility on 15 June.

The company, founded by Jason Barker in 2010, a leading SME business specialising in advanced machining applications, is inviting the manufacturing and engineering community to visit its new premises based in Mersey Reach, the new award-winning industrial development.

The Open House will include a robotic machining demonstration from the company’s artist in residence, Liz Wilson. She will be working with the company’s automation engineers on the day machining a sculpture which formed part of her installation for Art in Manufacturing; the headline commissioning programme for the National Festival of Making which takes place from 11-13 June.

The event will include CNC Robotics partner, Finance for Industry, which provides a range of innovative finance options and will offer SME clinics on the day. Backed by Close Brothers, Finance for Industry is a leading specialist in finance for engineering, plastics and machinery.

The Open House will also feature a range of guest exhibitors and demonstrations from companies and organisations within the CNC robotics arena, including Blowfish IT, CADLINE, HITECO, Kuka, Make UK, Schunk, the Royal Academy of Engineering, University of Liverpool Business School and 3DGBRIE.

Open Houses offer a perfect platform for SMEs like CNC Robotics to break down the barriers and make new technology more accessible by enabling manufacturers to speak first-hand to the people who design and build the systems.”

The themes throughout the day will include robotics and automation, additive manufacturing, cyber resilience, skills and talent development, UK manufacturing outlook, and available industry support.
