GJD Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of external perimeter protection and intruder detection equipment, has secured a six-figure funding package from
HSBC UK to purchase new equipment.
As a result of the funding, the company has invested in a Hanwha Techwin SM482Plus Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machine which will enable high-speed automation during the assembly process when manufacturing electronic products.
Having previously outsourced some of the SMT assembly to China, GJD will now be able to complete the manufacture of its products in-house, resulting in a significant reduction in the company’s carbon footprint and the creation of new jobs.
The new investment will result in a 5% boost to the company’s turnover over the next four years, and will provide GJD with much greater flexibility to manufacture, stock and supply its products in small batches, allowing the business to make its products more readily available to customers at short notice.
