ITC recruits new technical sales engineer

ITC recruits new technical sales engineer Tamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has bolstered its team with the appointment of Ben Morgan as technical sales engineer (pictured). As one of the UK’s leading cutting tool manufacturers, the company has continually strengthened its infrastructure with an expanded product portfolio, enhanced service, support, re-grind and bespoke tooling offering.

A restructuring of the Southern territory will see Ben Morgan support manufacturers in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire with Luke Insley working with customers in the South East — the two engineers will fill the role left by long-standing employee Dave Cleeve, who has retired.

Mr Morgan entered the industry as an engineering apprentice in 2011, learning his trade as a multi-axis programmer and machinist in the aerospace industry. He undertook a comprehensive apprenticeship that encompassed everything from machining and programming to PC-DMIS inspection, CAD, CAM and CNC programming. Rapidly rising through the ranks, Ben progressed to team leader, before moving to another prestigious manufacturing company and subsequently joining ITC.

Director Georgia Graves said: “Sadly, Dave Cleeve has decided to retire after more than 22 years with ITC. We cannot thank him enough for his years of service; he will be missed by the customers and colleagues that he worked alongside for over two decades. Dave certainly leaves a big pair of shoes to fill and as ITC continues to expand, our strategic position is to fill the role with not one, but two enthusiastic young engineers.

“Both Ben and Luke have an excellent engineering pedigree and will undoubtedly bring a new perspective to the role. We are confident that these new appointments will further enhance our sales, service and customer support function into the future.”

Ms Graves concluded: “With our ever-expanding offering, our strategy has been to add more technical sales engineers to all geographical areas of the UK to emphasise our expertise and also build upon our position as a full-line supplier of advanced technical solutions.

“This strategy requires investment in customer support, so manufacturers can be confident that they are receiving the very best levels of service. By appointing two engineers to cater for an area previously supported by one, we are demonstrating our commitment to our customers and our plans for expansion.”
