Embraer scholarships for Aeronautical Engineering MScEmbraer, a global aerospace company headquartered in Brazil, recently opened registration for the 33rd edition of the company’s Master of Science (MSc) in Aeronautical Engineering Programme, a ‘professional specialisation for career acceleration of engineers wanting to deepen their knowledge in Brazil’s aerospace sector’. The course is carried out in partnership with the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA).

The programme lasts 18 months, and during this period, students will receive scholarship payments of R$5,000 (Brazilian reais) monthly (about £690) with a ‘20% readjustment’ in the second year, among other benefits.

Andreza Alberto, vice president of ‘People, ESG and Corporate Communications ’at Embraer, said: “The investments we make in the training and development of people are hallmark traits of Embraer, which celebrated its 55th anniversary in August. The Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering Programme is one of the greatest examples of this strategy and a reference in the aeronautical sector.”

The course was created in 2001, and since then more than 1,700 professionals have attended. Moreover, Embraer’s average recruitment rate of participants is about 96%. The process admits people who graduated in Engineering in 2022 or 2023, or those who will graduate in 2024 in a variety of mainly engineering-related disciplines. Applicants must also possess advanced proficiency in English; and while the selection is carried out remotely, candidates must be available to live in São José dos Campos (SP), Brazil, as classes and related activities take place in person at Embraer’s headquarters and ITA.

Meanwhile, Embraer has announced the sale of up to six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU). The contract, which is part of a fleet renew programme to expand FAU’s operational capacity, provides for the acquisition of one aircraft plus the commitment to acquire five additional units, with deliveries scheduled from 2025, including mission equipment, integrated logistics services and a flight simulator.
