Improvement efforts net award

MEP Ltd has become one of the first companies in the South East to achieve an SC21 bronze award in recognition of its supply chain improvement efforts within the aerospace and defence industry. Working closely with the Manufacturing Advisory Service, MEP spent over two years working towards bronze award accreditation.
In order to raise its overall manufacturing performance, 15 members of staff at MEP took a Lean Facilitator training course, which is designed to achieve significant savings. Through a mixture of individual skills and team work, the culture and skills base of the company have been completely changed.
Based in Aylesford, Kent, MEP supplies metal, plastic and reinforced composite components for the defence, aerospace, electrical, electronic and allied industries in the UK and abroad.
