Warrington-based Croft Filters (www.filters.co.uk) has invested £250,000 in environment-friendly technology after received support from the Regional Growth Fund. The company has purchased a ‘state of the art’ metal-punching machine that does not use hydraulics, resulting in much lower energy usage than its predecessor.
Company director Neil Burns said: “Being a carbon-conscious manufacturer is a key goal for us, so investing in our
production line is crucial to making a real difference to our environmental impact.
“As the machine cleanly separates parts from the skeleton, the manual labour required is significantly reduced, saving time that can be spent on other projects.”
