Mazak offers LNS swarf system for VCS range

Mazak offers LNS swarf system for VCS range Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd (www.mazakeu.co.uk) has teamed up with machine tool peripherals manufacturer LNS Europe to offer the Turbo MH swarf management system with its VCS range of vertical machining centres.

The LNS Turbo MH series has a built-in scraper bar attached to the hinge belt that runs continuously along the bottom surface of the conveyor frame throughout the machining cycle to gather chips. Swarf is then lifted to
the top of the conveyor as the belt rotates.

Pitched at high-volume applications, the Turbo MH system also feeds coolant into the machine through a filter box mounted between the conveyor belt flights, which is fitted with either 250 or 500µm filters.

The additional brush fitted to the under-side of the conveyor belt wipes the box as the belt rotates, while any further swarf chips fall to the bottom of the conveyor frame to be collected by the scraper bars and discharged.

The Turbo MH series will form part of Worcester-based Yamazaki Mazak’s ‘Performance Package’ of machine peripherals for the company’s VCS range of machining centres. The system can be retrofitted to an existing machine or added to a new product prior to dispatch.
