F Zimmermann GmbH, a manufacturer of portal-type milling machines (www.f-zimmermann.com), opened a subsidiary in China last month. This will allow the German company to better serve its Chinese customers in the aerospace, automotive, model-making and mould-making sectors.

Steffen Nüssle, export sales director and chief representative for China, said: “The Peoples’ Republic has been the fastest-growing market in the civil-aerospace industry for a number of years, and we are convinced that excellent customer support is possible only if it is provided locally.”
