New lubricant depot for Fuchs

New lubricant depot for FuchsFuchs Lubricants (www.fuchslubricants.com) now has a depot in East Anglia. The German-owned company, which has its UK head office in Stoke-on-Trent, took on the depot in Dereham as part of its acquisition of the Batoyle Freedom group and decided to keep it open to supply former Batoyle customers and Fuchs customers based in the region. The depot has been revamped over the last six months and now has a trade counter; it offers next-day delivery to customers in East Anglia.

Andy Bett, regional automotive manager, said: “This is a strategic move that will help us to offer a better level of service to our customers — old and new — in that area of the country. East Anglia is a very agricultural area, and many people we’ll be serving will be from that sector. We have a strong reputation in the farming community, and this will further enhance that.

“We will also have a full range of products available from the depot, including lubricants for commercial vehicles, passenger cars and industrial purposes. The potential in East Anglia is tremendous, and we’re looking to capitalise on that.”

Fuchs has appointed Helen Franklin as depot manager and Paul Sayer as salesman for the area; it also has three drivers operating from Dereham. Mr Bett says that the depot is proving so successful that Fuchs is looking to replace the existing vans operating from Dereham by vehicles with more carry capacity.
