The millionth Audi Q5 has rolled off the production line at the company’s main plant in Ingolstadt, Germany. Launched in 2008, the Q5 is now sold in more than 100 countries.
Audi Ingolstadt plant director Albert Mayer said: “The Q5 is a genuine guarantee of success for us. For that reason, I am very proud that we have created a world-wide ‘crowd-puller’ with this SUV model from the main plant in Ingolstadt.”
Audi handed over a total of 266,968 Q5 cars to its customers world-wide last year — about 8% more than in 2014. A new plant in San José Chiapa, Mexico, will start producing the Q5 in late September.
