Citizen Machinery (citizenmachinery.co.uk) has replaced its showroom lighting in Bushey with the Acaneo Highbay Luminaire system from Waldmann Lighting(www.waldmann.com); this not only provides glare-free lighting but has also enabled nine 400W mercury-based lighting units to be replaced by energy-saving 160W LEDs with a life of 60,000hr.

Citizen’s managing director, Geoff Bryant, said: “Waldmann is based about a mile from our offices in Bushey and already supplies our machine lighting. The company had a stand at MACH 2016 in April, and I recognised the name as I walked past. We were planning to upgrade the air-conditioning and lighting systems at our headquarters, so quotations and order placement followed soon after the show.”

Waldmann managing director Peter Young said: “The massive advantage of the Acaneo system is that, once installed, you never really notice it. It is bright, but the patented lens arrangement means that it is virtually free from shadow and glare.”
