The first commercial passenger flights in 55 years between the USA and Cuba left Havana on 28 November.
American Airlines of Fort Worth, Texas, and New York low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways each launched a scheduled service to the island’s capital — three days after the death of its president Fidel Castro.
The USA announced the resumption of commercial passenger airline services to Cuba following the signing of an agreement between the two countries.
