The site of the former Tucker Fasteners factory in Perry Barr, Birmingham, is to be redeveloped.

The BP2015 (Birmingham) group has received planning permission to build an industrial and distribution unit 120m long and 73m wide with 12 lorry-docking bays to the rear, plus parking for 94 cars.

There were objections about lorries travelling in and out of the proposed development, but these were over-ruled by planning officers, who said that the number of lorries using the site was unlikely to be more than the number that had used the previous factory.
