Laser manufacturer Rofin UK has reported a record turnover in an “excellent” year (

The Hull-based firm saw revenues of £26.7 million in the year to September 2016 (up from £23.1 million), as its European business improved, offsetting a slight decline in its Asian trading.
Pre-tax profits also increased — to a record high of £5.5 million. The company — a subsidiary of Rofin-Sinar Technologies Europe — was set up in 1998 to develop and extend Rofin’s CO
2 laser product range.
The year to September also saw a major change for the company, which moved from rented premises to its own purpose-built facility of more than 80,000ft
