Kent-based APC Technology (
apcplc.com) has reported its first profits since 2014, following 18 months of re-structuring.
The provider of design, specification and distribution services for specialist electronic components, products and systems recorded revenues of £8.3 million for the six months to 28 February, down from £9.5 million in the same period of last year, but it generated an operating profit (before exceptional items) of £400,000 — a significant improvement from a £100,000 loss a year earlier.
CEO Richard Hodgson said: “All the effort of the past 18 months to re-structure the group has resulted in a return to profitability, and as the turn-round reaches its conclusion, we can focus on developing our core businesses.
“Looking ahead, there is much more work to do, not only to continue to improve our efficiency but also to grow our revenue.”
